Is it normal to draw broken hearts full of blood?

I really love art.I've been drawing many things,I took how many classes I could at highschool. It was all totally awesome....till something happened in my life.I broked up with a guy who was cheating on me with my best friend. After all of this I started to love drawing bloody pictures and enjoyed drawing in dark colors. It has been already one year but I still draw hearts cut and blood going out of them....many people like my drawings....but some saying to me that I can't draw it....and I tell that it is how I express my feelings....I know it's kinda wierd...please people tell me your opinion...I don't know what else to do....coz other pictures not intresting to me...:'(

Draw what you want, thats whays great about it. Its within your rights to draw whatever the hell you want, that said please refrain from overusing ellipses and get friendly with a comma or semicolon. They make prettier paragraphs.

You shouldn't see yourself as strange..In fact, you could probably end up being a great artist someday. Some of the greatest artist have had a rough life and express what they feel into their art. Im pretty sure you do this too so just ignore assholes like pi_man_31 I bet they just troll other people as their way to let out some of the pathetic sadness of their lives.

does post break up stress really last that long? i know that break ups are sad, but a whole year of drawing violent, disturbing pictures and hiding them in your bathroom where you hope that the children wont find them seems a little bit wierd, you MOTHER FUCKING SON OF A DAMN BITCH ASSHOLE WHORE WITH FIVE EXPLANATION POINTS!!!!!

Art is about self expression. There shouldn't even be a question of whether it's normal or not. Draw what you feel like drawing.

  • I've been in a similar situation as a guy. And the "emo" comment is pretty off. I understand that it means "emotional" right? Everyone's emo in their own way in my opinion.
But anyways, after my first break (first relationship), I've been drawings nothing but guts falling and squeezing out of hearts and angels with horns and blood falling out of their eyes instead of tears.
Honestly, I think it pretty much means it's just a reflection on how you see life and your emotions. I don't blame you nor do I think your "weird" or "strange" in any sort of way.
