Is it normal to do this to my neighbours?

So I recently moved into an apartment and it's a nice place, but I find my neighbours incredibly annoying. I live next to a couple who are constantly fighting and screaming at each other, as well as physically hurting each other. Sometimes, the woman's crying wakes me up in the night, and it's so irritating! My other neighbours are the nosy kind who have two young children, who are constantly knocking on my door for no reason as some kind of stupid childish joke. And the parents are always trying to invite themselves in without reason and bring their stupid kids with them.

To get revenge for this, I went on vacation to Samoa for two weeks when term ended. But before I went, I bought the loudest bass speakers I could possibly find, connected them to my laptop and played a death metal song on an endless loop (my laptop is plugged in and will never run out of charge) and turned the volume up to maximum. I did this just before I left, changed my lock and went to enjoy my vacation (which I'm still on now). Hopefully having to listen to extremely loud, horrible music 24/7 with no way of stopping it for two weeks will teach these irritating neighbours some courtesy.

Do you think this is normal? I'm pretty proud of myself for this one!
