Is it normal to dislike the word sweatshirt?

I find the word sweatshirt really unappealing for an item of clothing. I don't like the way it implies that the average human body is sweaty during normal activity. In fact, the name seems to invite the wearer to specifically produce lots and lots of sweat and really soak the garment. is it normal to dislike this word?

  • Call it a jersey or a pullover.

Call it a banana if it makes you feel better.

Great. Now you've ruined a particularly delightful and comfortable item of clothing for me.

Well, there's a lot of words that I dislike. Sweatshirt, knee, chunky, any Japanese word, newspaper, tin, steel, horn, bubble... There's too many to list.

Sweatshirt doesn't remind me of the word sweat.
