Everyone I know thinks the Beatles are amazing. I find them boring and don't like listening to them at all. IIN?

    Yeah...I guess its normal...
    But come on, The White Album? How can you hate that? Its perfect! In my opinion, it is the greatest rock and roll album ever recorded...Again, in my opinion.

    I think they're probably the most important band in history. That's not to say you have to like them, though. I personally do. My dad, however, has all the albums but says he doesn't like them. He bought the albums to fit in because everyone else liked them.

    I like The Beatles a lot. But I don't like every band that others like, so of course it's normal for others to not like The Beatles.

        Almost anything post-40s can be considered "pop" music. So unless you listen exclusively to jazz, blues, trad or classical, then you're listening to "boring" music. All types of rock, hip-hop, alternative and electronic are just sub-genres of pop. You "silly lass".

    Gosh don't think it's not normal to not like the same music as ur friends!!! My friend likes some pretty weird music but I'm still friends with her and everything! everyone has their own taste in music.

    Any one who says they dont like the Beatles has only 2 reasons to say that. 1. They haven't really explored the depth of their albums, and has really only heard early to mid 60's Beatles. I have Aldo found that these people often like several Beatles songs that they don't know are performed by them, Twist & Shout, You've got to hide your love away, Rock & Roll Music etc...
    2. This group of Beatles haters really just dislike anything that is overwhelmingly popular. This group has good reason to feel this way, what with the Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga's that dominate pop music today.
    In either case it us a shame, as the Beatles really explored the depths of music in a way that has never been duplicated. What's more is that they did it at a time when music was at the forefront of a cultural revolution. To dominate the industry for a glorious 7 year period, at that time, would be impossible for a "boring" group to accomplish.
    Finally pop music of that era should not be viewed as anything close to music that gets a pop label now ( or even back to the early 90's). Artists like Elton John, David Bowie, Chicago, and ELO, "pop" artists, have contributed an incalculable amount to music and society and should not be ignored or thought less of because they have the label of a pop band.

    I like them for many reasons. (yet I hate pop music). They pushed the envelope and contributed so much to the music industry and society in general.

    I think more people like them then hate them, but this will be true of any band that has reached the level of success that they have. So I don't think you are "normal" but you don't have to like their music. And I really don't think you want to be normal with this type of comment.
