Is it normal to dislike my boyfriend?

I have a boyfriend and he's nice, and we share common interests, but a lot of the things he thinks are cool I think are so lame. He's sweet but I know he can be a dick in some social situations and he gets really patronizing towards me. I can't really name good things about him except our common interests. He's kind of bland and geeks out on things. He's a few years older and I'm still in high school, and I'm thinking about breaking up with him so I can explore other interests closer to my age. However he always tells me how special I am and I know he expects a MUCH longer-term relationship. If I told him I needed space out of the blue he would be hurt and stuff. Sometimes we don't see eachother for long periods- is it okay to go out with other guys? Is it normal to be constantly tempted to cheat any chance I get?

Why hold on to him if you're tempted to cheat on him constantly?
You don't sound mature enough for a relationship.

No its not normal. If you feel this way break up with him. Breakups usually hurt someone but sometimes they got to happen. Better to be broken up with then cheated on in my eyes.

If you don't like him, you should break up with him.

  • Everytime one of these retards post these dumb "i don't like my boyfriend/girlfriend" questions, i think it's not normal to not like him and go out with him in the first place!

Like what's wrong with you, are you that fucking stupid?

If you hate your boyfriend, then why the hell are you dating him? I apologize if i seem rude, but this just makes no sense to me. I mean, really! If you're not into him, don't hang around and make him believe that you are. That's just rude and inconsiderate. Of course it would hurt him if you broke up with him, but it'd hurt even more if you kept him around and only pretende to be interested. Don't do that to him. You shoild do what is best for him, and break up.
