Is it normal to dislike cold drinks?
I've been wondering if I'm just totally alone in this, so here's the question: is it normal for some people to dislike cold drinks? I don't like drinking anything cold--tea, water, juice, coffee, etc. I can tolerate it in certain circumstances (extreme hot weather, if the waitstaff forgets my "no ice" request and I don't feel like wasting the drink, etc.), but I vastly prefer room temperature drinks (and love hot drinks as well, like tea/coffee/cocoa).
I think it *may* have something to do with having an extremely exacting sense of taste. I can tell what many of the ingredients are in a dish without knowing beforehand (down to the types of sugar substitutes or even rarely used herbs/spices) and can tell the difference between the flavors of cold and room temperature drinks, and cold drinks mute most of the flavor (in tea, this difference is especially prevalent). It's just an idea of perhaps why I may feel this way, and maybe something to think about if others feel the same. Thanks for any responses!
