I met a girl and I really liked her, then one day I met her dad and found out how similar they look... I mean, I liked the girl but for some weird reason, I couldn't bare to see her face again... made me feel kinda sick... I never spoke to her about it cos its obviously not her fault and I'd definitely hurt her bad... the relationship broke over a diff reason luckily but I would have tried much harder had I not seen her dad... can someone please help me!!!

    Thats crazy. I think I kinda resemble my dad more then my mom. But she must've really looked like her dad! Wow! This is the first time I'm hearing of someone ending a relationship with a girl because they looked more like their dad. Haha! You must be young.

      Yes they do, a lot... I mean she even cut her hair short, which I thought was cute first, but her dad had similar hairstyle!!!

      Like I said before I never mentioned it to her and I still know that she is a very good person... it was differences in opinion that broke the relationship.

    Okay. I'm a girl and I look like my Dad but I kind of agree to do this. The feeling roots from the thought of you actually screwing her dad which is the thing you'd love to do with her but would surely be a nightmare if its with her dad. Cause you're totally not a gay dude, right? Lol. Just kidding.

    Therefore, it is normal.

    That's kind of like asking if a girl would get turned off after seeing how much her boyfriend looks like his mother. The argument is the same: some element of same-sex attraction. It's exactly the situation you described but from the opposite gender viewpoint.

    Now do you see how ridiculous it is?

    I think the aversion at first is normal, but to break up with someone because of it...ridiculous, especially if you weren't turned off by her looks to begin with. That's just weird. Obviously she didn't look to masculine in the beginning, and she probably doesn't look masculine. Who would of thought offspring would share physical qualities with their parents??? Hmmm...:/
