Is it normal to develop feelings for your close friend?

I've had a friend for about 8 years now. We've become really close in the past year. We hang out a lot more and we have a ton of fun together. And about a year ago he confessed he has had a crush on me and he wants me to see him for a grown person, not the little kid he was when we were younger. And we starting getting intimate, and having sex. And the sex is amazing! But I don't think (in fact I'm almost positive) that he doesn't want anything more than the sex and to hang out. He won't stay the night after we sleep together, which bothers me. And honestly, I think he might think I'm too good for him by the way he explained how he felt about me. And even now, he puts me on a pedestal to his friends. And he got mad when his friend was, harmlessly, flitting with me. I'm just confused. Is this how its supposed to be when you and your close friend become intimate? Am I his plaything?

    It's normal for me. I want to fuck the life out of my friend and I've set the wheels in motion with looks & comments. I'll be banging her yet and she's so hot it crazy! Great, now I have to go have a wank.

    If you want more than a sex partner out of him, forget it. Guy's well take and take and take but who can blame them? He wants it all which is shown by what you say.

    Either stop the sex (not saying you can't be friends) or ask for a relationship out of it.

    Don't put your love life one hold for a sex buddy, life is too short.

    u need to have anotherr heart to heart with him. if u really love him then tell him, no demand him to stay with u. and to not put u on a pedestal. tell him how it makes u feel and if he feels the same he should listen.

    I wish when i had something close to this happen to me that she just told me cause i was like super oblivious in high school. and now we arent enemies, but we are friends either, and it make me sad to think if we were more honest and open, what could have been.
