I live in the Philippines, South East Asia, and ive never really been proud to be Filipino, or Asian for that matter. im definitely Westernized, but i still think theres just too many bad things in country. For example, our government. Even right now, an investigation is going on about a accusation that members of the government keep 90% of our taxes. And when i look around me, street children sniffing hunger-numbing materials or begging on the street, its not hard to believe. Another thing im pissed about is our media. Our "entertainment" is composed of game shows that humiliate people in exchange for money. So basically, they make fun of poor people to entertain other poor people. The mindset of the poor in our country is now that the only way to get money is to beg, or get a lucky shot in one of those "shows". They actually fly, sail, or even walk to our capital just to get in those shows instead of actually working for a living. Our country also leveled up being hipster. We call it "jeje", they type or text L1k3 tH15 and basically be douchebags. Its just annoying. Ive never even entertained the idea of living the rest of my life here. Sometimes i feel bad about that...

    im american and hate all the misery and destruction the military causes, a little piece of me dies every time i see my tax forms on the table because it pays for murder and war crime

    Yeah it's normal. Every single country is despicable in one way or another. I despise the U.S., the corrupt people who run it, and the people with piss poor attitudes who live in it. But I hear there are a lot worse places than here, so I can't even imagine what it must be like there.

      Don't forget that the US has more incarcerated people than ANY other country on earth.
      Being older has the distinct disadvantage of remembering the USA as a country I was proud to be from and be a part of. Now I consider it to be a foreign country, one I do not recognize from my youth or my government studies.
      I guess all good things must come to an end, but it's a real crime how the American people have allowed themselves to be led into this disasterous mockery of the Constitution and Bill of Rights we were given, upon which to build a fair and equitable country for all.

        I know it's not a country but I mean any country inside it. And no I'm not joking. Have you heard about the economic crisis or isn't there TV and papers where you live? In which case your place would indeed be worse than Europe.

          I couldn't give a shit about economic success. They get it from cheap labour and over a billion people. Asian girls are the little sluts that corrupt the eyes of non-asian men and work their way into having little mixed children. I mean it's not a problem that they don't want to create more full asians. But it's a problem when they are brainwashing the men and pulling them away from having perfect 100% white and black children and increasing the numbers of their own race rather than that of the Asians, which there are too many of at that. And people still think Jews are a threat...

    Yes its normal, I'm from the United States and there are things that happened in our history and current government I am not proud of but there are many things that I am proud of. Look at the positive side of your heritage.
