Is it normal to date your younger brothers best friend?

My younger brother is a year younger than me. And his best friend and I have recently established an unofficial relationship. I really like him, and of course I love my brother. I was wondering: Is it normal that I have this "thing" with my brothers besty? And what can I do to make my brother a little less resentful? I mean, he seemed completely okay with it until it became an actual thing... And I know it has to do with I'm his sister. And it's his best bud. But... :/ What can I do?

    Thank you'se who gave me a straight answer. I really appreciate it. I did talk to my brother, and I talked to the guy in question, and everything's good for now. There's still some regular awkwardness but we'll get over that pretty soon.

    As for my brother dating MY best friend? I don't really see that happening. My best friend is not interested in dating AT ALL. So, yeah!

    Talk to your brother. Hes in a tough position. He knows the guys very WELL n doesnt want you to get hurt or vice versa.

    It's probably just the fact when your brothers best friend comes over your house or whatever, he m ay feel like he's there for you not him. Give him time.

    it's not your brother's business who you date

    if he resents it then he needs to grow up and stop being jealous

    Talk to him about it. He might just be worried that you'll steal his best friend and he'll no longer have the same relationship with him. It's a valid concern.
