Is it normal to date your second cousin?

Incest causes health problems. It was considered bad not because or moral reason but because inbred people are not healthy. That is why royal families stopped the tradition of marrying only royalty.

I live in a small town and I have had several friends who found out while they were dating or after they broke up that they were in a relationship with their third cousin, or some other obscure relative. It actually became kinda funny, especially since my family moved here before I was born so I don't have to worry about that.

so i'm just curious, do you mean a cousin's child, or a parent's cousin? anyway, i don't know if it's legal or not, but it's still incest.

Personally no. Legal does not mean right, likewise illegal is rarely wrong.
It's a personal belief, but most people would say it's just too close a relative.
