Me and my this guy started talking recently and really like each other. I think he is a gift sent from God because I love being around him and he makes me smile. We met in the 6th grade but lost contact and went to different schools. He sent me a message on Facebook in the 12th grade and told me I was beautiful and wanted my number. So we started talking and got REALLY close. I asked him if he knew my cousin and he said yes and he said that's my cousin also. I'm thinking Okay... But my mom told me we are related to some people with his last name. So my cousins are his dads nephews. But I didn't know him at all! I didn't grow up with him! I didn't even know he existed... But I might Love him because he is the Nicest and Sweetest person I know! My mom doesn't even know his dad so there can't be that much of a connection... We must be cousins on down the line. But I can't let him go anywhere. I just have to be with him forever. Would that be Normal??

    at most your like 6th cousins. FDR and Elenor Roosevelt were 2nd or 3rd cousins. It has definitely been done before and I don't think its illegal or anything as long as your past a certain point of relation. Personally it would creep me out a little to think of being with somebody who was blood related

    Your cousins are his dads nephews?

    I think that means that you either must be cousins or aren't blood related at all. Right?

    Either his dad is a sibling to one of your parents (you're cousins), or his dad has a sibling that's married to an aunt or an uncle (not blood related at all).

    Sure I think it's normal, you two are most likely not even related by blood, and to me, that determines whether it's 'right' or not.

    I too am attracted to a distant cousin, and she isn't blood related at all. She is my step great grand mother's daughters daughter.
