My boyfriend is 26 and I am 18. Yeah, the age difference, frankly, is a bummer to the both of us. But we love each other regardless. I want to be with him and he wants to be with me. When we met, we assumed we were closer in age. Imagine our shock when we told each other...so I want to know...is it wrong to date someone older than you and why.

I think it's great, you age difference is not significant, love never sees the age difference, and maturity is close to the same often
At seventeen I was dating a 33years old, at twenty I was with a forty-five or forty-eight, I don't exactly recall. At twenty three I was dating a forty-eight years old adn now I'm twenty five and my boyfriend is thirty-three. I have dated some guys who happened to be in the same age range as I it's just that I felt better with old men.
I dated a younger woman once. We got along great. But her friends didn't like it so they sabotaged the relationship. Too bad it was great while it lasted.
I don't think it's wrong at all. Just know that you may have different ideas about where the relationship is going. He'd be getting to the point where he may be starting to want kids or start a family. At 18, you may not be ready for that yet, but hey, if you guys are meant to be then you're meant to be :)
No, it's not "wrong". It may just have different difficulties than a relationship with someone your own age. It really is down to individuals, though.
