Is it normal to date someone 4 years apart?

Maybe I'm overthinking things. I'm 18, he's 22. Is it normal? I love him a lot, I just don't want him to see me as a kid, or anyone else for that matter. Do you think it'd be weird to see a couple like that?

    You're overthinking things.

That's not a huge difference, and if you're a woman, you're quite possibly more emotionally mature than the average guy of that age.

Yes, it's normal. My girlfriend is 5 and a half years younger than me and we're golden.

I don't see her as a kid. She's my girl. Tho having an age advantage is useful when we get into trivial arguments about doing chores. I'm older, so therefore I need more rest.
Doesn't work everytime, but I try... XD

Completely normal! Im 18 and my boyfriend is 25 so we have a 7 year age gap.

Honestly hes so sweet to me, and hes very consious of my decisions. He doesn't treat me like a child, and honestly if he did I would leave!

As long as you two can maintin a healthy relationship with eachother its totally fine!

If you feel really insecure about this, don't hold it in and ask your boyfriend about it. Talking it out will help you feel better and secure.

Age is but a number except in your teens. If you said he was 18 and you were 14 then I'd say "whoa there" but once you hit 18 age becomes just a number. Some friends of mine are 13 years apart. He was 31 and she was 18 when they got married. People said it would never work but years later they are still together and most of the naysayers are divorced or been married a few times.

Four years is nothing. There's no need to worry about it.
