I have been dating my boyfriend for 1 1/2 years and still haven't had sex with him (I mean actual penetration). I'm a 20-year-old virgin so that is kinda why I'm slow hah. So I'm wondering...

    In my life (I´m 36 years old), there has been an interesting pattern: the longer she (my female partners, I am male) waited and refused sex, the worse the relationship was as a whole also after our first sex.
    My best and most satisfying and longest relationship started 5-6 years ago, we are still together and we are both sexually and emotionally compatible - with this girl (my current) partner it all started with sex even before we were in a relationship. So in my case, there has been a simple rule: the shorter we waited, the bettter the relationship turned out to be in the long run.
