Is it normal to date a guy with the same name as my brother?

I've been talking to a guy on tinder and his name is the same as my brother's. Would it be weird if we dated? Is it weird that I find it weird? I also just came out as gay does that change anything?

Could even be convenient if your brother's name is Jesus! LOL

(Just joking, perfectly normal. There are only so many names to go around a whole lot of people)

Don't think it makes any difference.

Could be a little bit awkward, depending on the person. Based on the fact that you are asking, you may find it a bit awkward for a while.
But, honestly, it's just a name. And it sounds rather popular. Don't lessen your odds of find Mr. Right over something as insignificant as a name. :) Besides, maybe you could call him a nick-name or something? Just something slightly different from your brother.

It's normal At the end of the day, it's just a name. It's only weird if you make it weird.

It doesn't make any difference, as long as the name itself and the fact that it's your brother's name doesn't make you like him more. I dated a guy who had the same name as my dad, and we were perfectly fine.
