Is it normal to cuddle/spoon and sleep with same sex best friend?

My best friend and I tend to lay on the bed talking and fall asleep half the time together. We are both straight and he even has a GF. Is this morning to cuddle/Spoon and sleep with my best friend like this?

That's too cute! That's some real friendship right there. If you guys are both ok with it, then go right ahead. Everyone (straight, gay, bi, ace) needs some good cuddle time. :)

  • It's fine. Guys nowadays are just trying to hard to prove manliness. Yall just sleeping, not sexing. Why are people so gross for.

Yeah, humans especially men are physical creatures, why do you think most guys roughhouse? They're told physical affection is unacceptable so they play fight, they get to touch one another. Your cuddling just shows that 1)You truly are straight and secure. 2)You love your best friend, nothing wrong and quite sweet actually, if guys didn't suppress everything and weren't conditioned to, crime rates would go down in the US.

I, too cuddle and spoon with my best friend of the same sex. We have been friends since we were 4 years old. Our wives support our special bond. Yes, we have had occasional oral and anal sex over the years (and still do), but again our wives know about and support it. Even they have bonded.

I've had that kind of friendship in the past. It's ideal for the friendship to be entirely platonic with no attraction between either party. It's a rare and precious thing and is often fleeting.

    Nothing wrong with that.

I see both sides, it's hard to show a best friend that you love them. Nowadays if you say I love you to a member of the same sex, it can be misconstrued. I think this is your way of showing each other that you love each other. Don't make it anything that it's not - just because you pat a friend on the back, high five, frog on the arm, pat on the head, squeeze their neck, or cuddle with them, it doesn't mean you want to screw them, it's just a way of saying "I think you are the shit and I'd do anything for you friend".

what you have is a bromance you can catch it on wikipedia here:

and as you can see it's pretty normal... unless you both start feeling awkward XD... then it becomes insanely comical! but never wrong!

This seems odd to me, but I do not really cuddle within anyone unless we're shagging or otherwise romantically involved. I've always deemed cuddling as an intimate act. So two straight guys doing this isn't really something I understand.

Me and my best friend did that all the time, but we're female. Not sure about with men though.. but I don't see anything wrong with close companionship as long as you're both straight and have no sexual feelings for one another. I'm not sure guys would see it the same way though. It's really a hard topic for men to grasp. They automatically assume something sexual if they were confronted with the situation.
