I felt sad when.... dam I forgot his name. The guy from COD4 who died on the last level. And when on the epilogue I had to jump out of a plane. WITH NO PARACHUTE!!! I fell to my death :P
I felt sad when John died on Red Dead Redemption, but I didn't cry. I just stared at the screen in shock for hours. If you look at a youtube video about his death on the game many people said they cried in comments. I don't think it would be normal for anything else, but maybe understandable for this game..
You are crying because the developers have done a great job making you gain a relationship with this character. Nothing different then from when a person dies in real life. Except that the person is virtual and not real. It's totally normal.
I say its normal, cause you feel a connection with the characters as you play, and like a good movie or book, to see them die is like losing a close friend.
i cried a little after " Dad " died in fallout 3 , i had just learned to know him and it was done so well just like a real person so well i could relate to him and then BOOM suddenly he dies and the game ends !
I was like WTF! and then wiped my tears for the next 3min
So Yeah
its almost normal
..never cried for a video game but for books yes and eveyrones different so sure thats cool :D
To be honest....Any life lost Virtual or real is a reason for sadness. I often feel saddend when people die. But then again i give these people background stories that might not be true...soo
