Is it normal to cry when people sing

I noticed this about four or five years ago, when ever I heard any one sing in person I would start to tear up. My eyes would start to water and it didn't even matter if the person was good or not, I still tear up. Is this normal?

I tear up when I hear emotional music in movies, doesn't even matter what movie, but the music that plays when the good person wins/dies always gets to me. I also tear up when people sing on America's got talent clips, I honestly think it has to do with the way it's edited, designed to make you tear up. That or I'm just a sensitive guy. I can remember crying for no reason at all as a kid too, even standing in line in the lunch room. Not in a cry baby way, just literally standing there and then get teary eyed and hyperventilate a little. Sorry for the rant.

  • It's normal, particularly if you find beauty in it. I'll tear up over a lot of things, even beautiful scenery, if it strikes me enough :)

Sounds normal to me... It's beautiful when people sing :). To be honest, Firework by Katy Perry makes me cry, though that's mostly because of the music video.
