Is it normal to cry when nobody's looking?

I cry under the blankets. It preserves my masculinity.

It's very understandable for people to not want to show their emotions around the people that they love the most. Honestly, I even do this sometimes. You put on a fake smile so you don't dissapoint anyone, yet inside you feel like shit. You just want to make them happy, and you want to be happy. But I think you should really tell them about how you do not like your job. Share your emotions around them. They are your family and they will love you no matter what.

I can't cry in front of other people. I don't know why but anytime I've ever done it it makes me feel embarrassed. I cry when I am alone only.

Crying is a natural human emotion!!

Why are you in a job you dislike? Are you living your life or theirs? There is nothing more depressing then having to wake up, do a 9 hour shift at a place you despise, go home on your own, go to bed and wake up to do ti all again.
I agree with the above comment, they are your family and conventionally they should stick by you no matter what, I say conventionally not knowing your situation but like I said it's your life, live it how YOU want to
