Is it normal to cry so much when your pregnant?

I'm pregnant and can't stop crying! I went to lunch and ordered a bagel w/ cream cheese. When I got back to work I realized the lady gave me the wrong cream cheese. I was so disappointed I cried in my office and was sad the rest of the day. Today I went to the store and they were out of the meat I needed for dinner. I cried my way through the meat dept. and called my husband to help me calm down. Am I going crazy?I've been pregnant before but never felt like this.

Thank you to those of you who actually gave helpful advice. It's fine to have your own opinion but there really is no need to put other people down. I don't think I'm high maintenance. Like I said I have never been like this before so i dont know how my personality would have completely changed coincidentally when I became pregnant. It's not like I'm being self absorbed I just feel emotional and I'm crying a lot more than I ever have before but at really stupid things. If I was nuts I wouldn't be able to recognize that. I'll check into the nutritional thing. I hadn't thought of that possibility. At the end of the day I just wanted to know if pregnancy can make you THIS emotional b/c like I said I have been pregnant before - 2 times- and this time feels vastly different. But thank you for reminding me all pregnancys are not created equal!

Two posts and I'm already tired of you. Like I said, I feel sorry for your husband. I'm not putting anyone down. I'm just telling it like it is. You are in fact, high maintenance at this point in your life. Recognizing that isn't a bad thing. It will make you realize that just like you want your hubby to be sympathetic to you, YOU also have to be sympathetic to him! IOW, just take responsibility for your mood swings and don't drive him nuts--They're just mood swings--they will pass! You have a brain and a will to deal with it instead of give in to it & expect ppl to coddle you over it. Woman up! Are you crying now bc of what I just said & bc I'm treating you like an adult?
Are you starting to get it yet?

Sometimes people can be mean in their own way..they may not see it but others can. And some people react differently. I think by OP calling her husband is not stupid..she just needed Someone to talk and comfort her, and that's completely fine.

I can careless what others think of my comment..

It's just hormones, don't worry. I get the same way if I miss a dose of my meds. Once, when I was out of meds, I cried for an hour about a lost teddy bear! And it wasn't even mine!

I am pregnant and I do the same thing. My doctor says it's a nutritional thing, and has me taking a magnesium and b6 supplement. But yeah, us preggos get hormonal, it's just part of the ride :)

My guess is the two of you are men who have no firsthand experience with pregnant women whatsoever.

Yes, your body's hormones are going nuts. Also, not every pregnancy will ever be the same.

High maintenance. I feel sorry for your husband. The bottom line is, regardless of hormones or not, your husband should not feel obligated to cater to your unreasonable moods. You need to make an effort to calm down and get a grip. Cry if you must, but don't lay it on anyone. Just recognize it's a mood swing. cry, get over it, learn to deal & take control. It will pass.
