You mean like strangers you see on the news or people you actually know and are close to you?
Sounds like you have a bit of trouble connecting with real people and not stylised or idealised fictional people. Real people come with flaws and such, while fictional characters while sometimes flawed also represent archetypes which resonate with consumers of the media in question.
Probably because most real people are disgusting and their deaths warrant celebration instead of grief.
Yes very normal! I feel the same way! I have also wondered this as some I get so invested in and I feel I care about them more than people in reality !
Totally agree. Fictional character have done something so great that when something bad happens... Like they die... It is found necessary to care for someone that has done something so remarkable and selfless... I was watching 'Air' and i just broke... I had never ever cried towards a being fictional or real before then ^-^
