Is it normal to cross out peoples' eyes?

Well, I've had a thing where whenever I see someones eyes, on tv, real life, an animal, anything with eyes, I cross out them, make and X, then two lines through the side and middle of it. This is very much compulsive and I can't exactly control that I do it. I sometimes wonder if people can see my eyes making the movements when I look at them, then become self-concious of doing it. Oh, and after I do the 'X' thing I sometimes blink hard and tense up my muscles, as if I'm wiping the 'X' away. Sometimes I get a shiver after doing it. Seems really odd just saying it. Hmm...Is it normal?

You absolutely have some kind of OCD/nervous tick. The blinking and tensing up if your muscles is common with a "tick" and the X's sound like an OCD "ritual" since you feel you HAVE to do it. Tell your doctor. I'm sure there is something he can do to help.

  • I guess. Do you just not like looking at eyes? Good thing your not a serial killer, you'd probably rip off the eyes of your victims or something lol.

do you feel like they are looking at you? Judging you? Constantly? Like you're being checked to see if you are worthy in their mind? One of my friends used to do it, then she had to stop looking people in the eye. Then she got over it.

Reminds me of that movie, The Grudge.

And I agree. Sounds like OCD.
