Is it normal to create fart lights?

There are times when I fart alot, and I figured that I might as well turn it into something fun for Christmas. I bought different colored lightbulbs, attached a sensor to each one and depending on the smell of the fart a certain colored light will light up. I hope my family and friends will find this funny! Is this normal?
