I do. I want to but I can't bring myself to actually do it for various reasons.

I used to crave self harm as well, then I started harming myself a couple years later. I got obsessed with suicide as well. For some reason the emotional, dark side of things just fascinated me. I would try to think negatively and I eventually trained my mind to be depressed because I found it attractive.
Well things got real, and I am now trying to retrain my mind to think positively and happy thoughts.
Do other things to satisfy the cravings for self harm. Like chew ice, play a good game. Distract yourself. Do anything to get your mind off of it.
Sorry for the long post. Good luck =]

No, it's not normal and you should seek professional help asap before taking action. It's normal the way a lot of people feel like to do it, but it's not the way it will destroy you. I've been cutting myself for almost four years before I quit for good and this thing has created even more problems. Please, don't cut yourself. It's a vicious circle.

I've pictured myself being harmed (in horrible ways)and almost dying. I was wondering if this was normal also but I feel like maybe its a bit weird but as long as you don't actually do it you should be fine. otherwise get help. :)that's just what I think

I had a problem with self harming. I would burn my skin(quite) badly sometimes. I would get sexually aroused so I didn't think much of it. Then it just kept getting worse and I felt like I needed to do it all the time. I talked to my doctor about it, turns out it was depression cased by an illness!! Now I have some pretty damn ugly scares.

I'm not sure if it's normal. But if you don't actually have a reason to do it..I wouldn't do it. That would be posing as something you're not. Don't do it for attention.

    You are a masochist.

It sounds like you might be a masochist with a knife/cutting fetish. Look up "knife play" and "masochism".

Pregnancy will do that to you.

They always said that pregnant womans have strange cravings.

What about the men that cut themselves ? Because it happens too in case you didn't know that.

I'm trying to imagine a pregnant boy self-harming. It is just weird.

Now what kind of sick person takes something someone said and totally twists it like that?

It's common, but I don't think that that means its normal. Would you describe the craving as something sexual, or does it stem from anger frustration, or something else?
