Is it normal to count when you drink from a water fountain?

My sister keeps asking me if I count while drinking from a water fountain. She always ends on an even number too. Does anyone else do this?

    maybe its a habit you picked up from elementary school. teachers used to count so we'd hurry up.

    I count the person before me, and then when it's my turn I let the water run without dreaking it and if the person before me had 5 seconds I wud let the water run for five seconds and then drink it

    Yep I count how many swallows I take. I usually to to 8.
