Is it normal to control yourself in your dreams?

Whenever I have dreams, I can usually control what I say or do. As well as nightmares. IIN?

The first thing I ever do when I realize I'm dreaming is try to fly, or find someone to have sex with. The citizens of dreamland are just always up for it.

lol, I do that, too. I also try to find my fiance and do all the stuff he doesn't care to do. Hahah.

Yeah it's normal. You're lucid dreaming. It is a fun skill to learn.

Totally normal. I can control what I do in most of my dreams and have done for as long as I can remember. I think it's pretty rare though as I don't personally know anyone else who can do it.

I didn't think it was normal, no. I know it exists and I know some ethnic groups can do it pretty much universally, but my group can't. I've read books on it to try and learn but I think it's going to be one of those things I never learn to do. I so rarely dream anyway, that it might even be a wasted skill.

Have you ever had a dream that was so scary, you made yourself wake up?

Maybe once or twice in my life I've had dreams where I recognised I was in a dream. I know that's the beginning of lucidity. I never really got it beyond that, though, and I can't wake myself up (unless something good is about to happen, in which case I always seem to wake up).

You should first look into how to dream more often. That could help.

I actually did that all the time as a child. The moment a nightmare got too scary for me, my dream self somehow knew that if I just closed my eyes really tight, I'd wake up. And I always did. Still happens occasionally. Dream flutterhigh is awesome.

I did that all the time. It's how I started lucid dreaming.

I tend to be able to have control over what I do in my dreams. It's weird though, because as soon as I realize that it's a dream, I start having sex with whatever girl is in the dream. I don't understand why this happens.

I have never been able to do this, although once I controlled what someone else did. Weird. O-o

Sometimes I have that ability and sometimes I dont. Usually when I have dreams everything goes exactly like how my life is. Yes its normal and apparently called lucid dreaming. Enjoy.

Yeah, that is just lucid dreaming. I know how to time travel with my mind and travel to other realms and throughout galaxies and the infinity of space. It is just a matter on how well you can use the power within your brain.
