Is it normal to continue with this relationship?

I love my husband....but my husband loves someone else...I am good looking and wooed by many men but it is very ironic that my husband does not love me even though I do and give everything for him...

Chris Rock had a joke about this regarding Halley Barry. Not that I personally find her attractive but anyway, here was his point.

"Someone, somewhere is sick and tired of having sex with Halley Barry".

I think commitment means stomaching the harsh reality of "forever". Don't get married if you don't mean it.

I watched my Grandfather suffer through caring for his debilitated wife for years until she finally passed. If he had the fortitude of likely over 90% of people today, my grandma probably would have been abandoned by her husband. But he didn't because the time and place he came from actually honored the vows of marriage.

My comment is meant as a lesson to everyone, not just your husband or you. It takes two, but even beyond that it takes a culture and society which encourages people to honor their commitments and punishes those who do not.

I suggest you twist his arm into going for marriage counseling.

Does he openly admit to loving someone else? Is this a long term affair?

If you know that your husband loves someone else, why are you still with him? Are you hoping he will just wake up one day and love you again? That isn't how it typically works... The longer you stay in this one-sided, love-less, relationship the harder it is going to be when it finally "ends". You should move on and let him go... If you love someone set him free, if he doesn't come back, it wasn't meant to be.

I am in the exact same situation as you. Guys are always asking me out and I'm very attractive. People say that I'm way too attractive for him but of course he still treats me like shit and looks at other girls. Are you kidding!!! And of course he gives into to any other girl who is interested in him (Few but still) It's ridiculous. I'm so miserable! So I really know how you feel and I feel terrible for you. You really deserve better! I wish you the best of luck! I know it's probably a very complicated situation but try to leave him. It would be for the best.

You know, I pretty much stand by my response, but now I'm realizing how few details you have given. Is he openly doing some long-term cheating here?

A question first: Are there kids involved?

If yes, I say try to work it out. Try to persuade your husband to see a therapist. See a therapist yourself. Give it your all -- it's not just about your husband and you; it's about your children's well-being. You and your husband owe them this effort to try and restore your marriage.

If no children are involved, I think you have more freedom to do exactly what is right for you and your future. Move on if you want something more; as of now, you deserve way more. If he refuses to work on this, leave.

You say you're good looking, but its a well known fact that guys hit on fat girls because there's a conception they're easy. That explains all the attention other men are giving you.

As for you husband, think about it - if you really were good looking your husband wouldn't be out porking someone else would he?

I suggest that you have a good hard look in the mirror, then lose some weight and do yourself up a bit.
