Is it normal to contact your ex who dumped you last week?

My ex dumped me after a month of going out and everything was perfect until he says he feels that he has not gotte nover his ex wife he broke up with around Xmas time and this time of the year reminds him of that time and he cant cope with the situation .l still feel for him and would like to keep in touch but i end up feeling like the more l try to keep in touch the more l am pushing him away .

    This guy was with you because he was on the rebound and perhaps being way nice to you while trying to get over his ex. You could've just been company for him and now he's probably realised you don't deserve that. I could be quite wrong here but since it is over you should try and move on. I haven't had an ex to contact but if I do, and I don't see this happening, I would definitely contact my ex to see how they are doing after a few months. I never like my relationships to end sourly.

    don't bother. Make a clean break, and find someone without excess baggage.

    It might be normal to want to call your ex, but it's not smart. Forget about him and move on with your life.

        I'm so sorry but ... a month? I´m not trying to come across as wanting to compete with you but try a year and getting dumped through FB out of nowhere. If I managed to NOT contact my shitty ex after this blow even though I felt horrible so can you.

        You wont ever get closure because people are dishonest assholes.
