Is it normal to consume sweets with pickles?

I like the combined taste of pickle and sweet. I don't know if others do it as well.
But i love it.

    Sweet and sour is a known flavour combination in many world cuisines. Even in Western cuisine, there are many examples (like honey and lemon, although we might have borrowed that from the Chinese).

    Jolly Rancher's make me cough too and I love them, my favorite hard candy! It didn't used to make me cough. It makes me wonder if they are using a different ingredient?
