Is it normal to constantly worry that i'm going to get dumped?

Just started dating this amazing, sweet guy who I have been friends with for awhile. We have a great time together, and he says sweet things to me and always calls when he says he will. But I still worry constantly when we are apart that he is having second thoughts about dating me, that he is going to break up with me. Every time he asks me to meet him for a drink I prepare myself to go there and get dumped. I am a wreck. Please help!

Well, I wouldn't say I'm young...31. I had several long term relationships in my 20s, but in the past several years have had a lot of trouble with dating...nothing really significant, commitment-phobics, a-holes..I guess it just comes with getting older??

I think its normal. You probably like him so much that you don't want to lose him. Happens to the best of us!

I think everything is fine! We hung out last night and he didn't dump me at all..not at all. :) I think I just need to figure out how to relax and trust the situation.

But wouldn't that seem all clingy and pitiful? We've only been dating for a month.

  • You should tell him how you are feeling so he can reassure you that he's not going to

It's normal, particularly if you're young.
