Is it normal to constantly think about heroin?

I have never tried heroin. I'v tried nearly everything else but I keep thinking of trying H! Why I don't know. I was brought up around drugs so in a way I don't blame myself. Will I ever forget the urge to take it? Advice needed please

I spent almost two years in rehab, and lost a lot of my life to it. It is really not worth it. I have been clean for almost three years and will never touch any drug (other than alcohol) ever again.
Just try not to even think about it, there are a lot better things in life.

You should replace bad habits with good ones. Instead of doing drugs, find something else you can do; Go to a gym, take a walk, a drive, do whatever it takes not to think about it...

It's a dark road, one that becomes harder to get out of by the day! I can imagine how tough it must be to grow up around that stuff, but you don't have to follow anyone's foot steps. You are your own person.

I wish you the best of luck & I hope you find another resolution. xoxo <3

You said you've taken nearly everything else. So i'm guessing that includes opiates in pill form? You ever snort a roxy or OC 80? If you have that is like heroin. The nodding out, body relaxation, etc. So why not spare yourself the potential for addiction and stick to your experience with pills for a reference to that type if high. Besides heroin is a nasty fuckin drug, i've seen it destroy the lives of close friends.

No, don't try it. I know a girl who is actually a heroin addict and it's a very sad story. Using it is a bad, bad idea you will likely regret

Me and my friends tried heroin once when I was a teenager. We were all in my basement and my parents were away. I passed out and when I woke up, I was surrounded by the corpses of my friends, who had overdosed. Don't even try heroin, it is not worth it.

I didn't grow up around drugs. I just read about them and for some time in middle school and high school did think obsessively about some of them. For example, I really really wanted to try cocaine. And eventually I did but that was years later when I was no longer thinking about it all the time.

If you do it make sure you do it once, and then never again. Heroin is highly addictive and otherwise you will become an addict. You might even become a little addicted from just one time but not so much that it will be irresistible if you're determined from the outset that you will only do it once.

If you do opiates of an kind, than I think wanting to do heroin is normal. People think heroin is so bad, but I tell u hydromorp is way stronger, and mNy people prefer oxys over heroin. But no one should try opiates.. Once u do life isn't the same

Trust me, you don't want to do it.
I got hooked on OxyContin when I was 15, and to this day, I still have urges to do it.
,and you might think that the "high" is good, but when those withdrawals start kickin in, you'll wish you never tried it.
So just save yourself the nausea, vomiting, body aches, & bitchyness,
Cuz that drug sure as hell ain't worth it.

Personally I prefer "heroine" myself - the kind you find in books that is *grin*

Well, I constantly think about my toes. I guess it's normal, but not healthy.

My dad struggled with heroin addiction for more than 15 years. He was in rehab when my brother was born, my mum would freak out because he would go out for more than 24 hours without leaving as much as a hint as to where he'd gone, they separated when I was 5, and had problems til he accidentally overdosed and died leaving behind two teenage kids.
Of course I didn't know all this until he died. And I didn't grow up around drugs because I lived with my mum.
It really screws everything up. You know when people ask about my dad I have to say he died. And as for the cause I say it was an illness, because people will not look at you the same if they know your dad was a heroin abuser. Even when the rest of the family isn't affiliated with drugs.
You may think 'oh that isn't going to happen to me', and that's what it always feels like. I didn't think that kind of thing could happen to me. I'm now the girl with the dad who died from a heroin overdose when she was 15. Sounds like something from a Hollywood drama right.
For all you know you could be in a fatal car accident tomorrow, and you'd be another young person with their photo taped to a power pole with flowers underneath. It does happen.
