Is it normal to constantly imagine killing someone?

For some reason ever sense I started dating this girl I keep imagining myself killing someone like a couple of gang members that wont't let her past them or something. I don't understand why I keep imagining this. I'm so confused, is it normal?

    Yes, it is normal.

    I have recurring dreams in which Im consantly stabbing my stepbrother with my dad's kitana or taking a high power rifle and splattering his brains all over the place in front of my dad and the whole family.

    He is the only person that I truly want dead.
