my sister was raised in the ghetto like me, but decided she wanted to go country. that's cool if you want to live on a pig farm surrounded by corn (seriously) but is this really necessary? Here's an example:

"I went to walmart and saw they had obama christmas tree ornaments. now aint that a bitch? suddenly it's okay to hang a n***** from a tree again."

    Okay.. that was a little funny. 3/10. On to whether it's normal or not. Every one is a little bit racist. I've never met a person regardless of race that didn't know racist jokes about other races/their own race. If it's done in fun it's okay, if it's done to be hurtful then it's not.

    Have you asked her to stop? I'd tell her it's offending you and ask her to stop. If she doesn't I'd just delete all of her messages before reading them. If it annoys her that you don't respond to any of her texts, racist or not, maybe she will get the hint and stop.
