Is it normal to constantly crave sweets?

All I do now is crave ( and trust me this has gone on for months) sweets!! Breakfast lunch and dinner that's all that I want is cake, ice cream, and anyother sugary foods. Most of the time I would rather eat sweets over regular food!!!(and I've never been a picky eater. I'm feel that I need to contain this because I don't want to risk developing diabetes later on in life. And you all know that's no fun :(.

    It's very normal. It's easy to become addicted to sugar and sweet things. My advice is to try to substitute more artificial sugar and candy foods with more natural sweet fruits.

    If you eat more fruit you will realize how artificial sugary candy and sweets are and you may find that you prefer the more natural thing.

    Another good strategy is to keep a detailed record of everything you eat. Make a list each day of all the food you consume. It may come as an unpleasant shock to you what you eat and how many calories you are consuming.

    Even if you are not worried about weight too much sugar is not good for you. It's bad for your teeth, blood sugar, and it is cheap short term energy that won't last you very long in the day.

    Also you will find that you have higher self-esteem if you eat better food.

    Did you ever stop to consider the fact you might be diabetic? They have two type of diabetics. They have one where they do not have enough sugar and I think its called Hypoglycemic and they have those who have too much sugar in their body. If you are constantly craving sugar you might not be keeping enough sugar. People who have low blood sugar or bodies can not produce there own sugar end up very hungry, constantly feeling weak and tired, and are recommended to drink a soda or other fast acting sugar to stop the symptoms. So perhaps your cravings are since you have low blood sugar. I knew a few kids in school like this. They were always super skinny. However I would not recommend self medicating until you learn if you are really diabetic or not. I mean I am not a doctor and they can test this kind of thing if you are really concerned.
