Is it normal to consider once a week too often to see a friend?

I have a friend who I met through my ex. I love her dearly, think she's a great person and I enjoy her company almost all of the time, no matter what we do.

However, she often seems desperate for company - to me - and has invited me out with her every single week I've been home.
Sometimes I just feel like I need a bit of space from her for a week or so (I've got Aspergers', if that helps at all).

A couple of things that frustrate me a bit is that she is very much a girl in personality in a lot of ways; and I can't get my head around why she might do/say some of the things she does.

She's also very shy and immature when it comes to boys, sex and relationships, in my mind.
I mean, she'll tell a guy she 'likes' him by leaving a bag of chocolates and a note on his doorstep then run away as soon as she's put them there, and she expects the boys to make the first move.

Sorry, rant over.

Sometimes spending too much time with a girl can be a bad thing. You should tell her in a polite way that you need some time alone.

Oh, my apologies... I meant that sometimes, for a guy, spending too much time with a girl can be a bad thing. But you might still want to tell her that you need some time alone though. In a polite way of course.

Nah, nah, no need for apologies. But that's a fair point you made.
