Is it normal to confess my feelings even if he doesn't want me?

We've known each other for over 3 years now, but we weren't close until we went on a trip together with a group of friends about 7 months ago. During the trip, we were always together and I thought he's into me. We live a little far apart (45-min drive), so we don't hang out much after the trip. But we've been chatting about 3-4 times a week, sometimes for the whole day.

But we keep everything platonic and while we were talking about life in general, he told me he's not ready for a relationship yet, he just wants to focus on his work for now. He's in early 20 and has never been in a relationship. He enjoys single life (I'm sure he's not gay). Does he have slightest interest in me? I'm good looking and a lot of guys want to be with me. But I'm so obsessed with him, and can't stop thinking about him. He has many close girl friends, but I'm sure he hasn't chatted with them for hours like he does with me. I don't feel like he's interested in me, I'm so confused.

It's so painful for me to hide my feelings for him. Should I wait until he has developed feelings for me? Or should I confess my feelings for him even if I know he's not ready for a relationship yet, or might not even like me in that way?

I think it's best to be honest with your friends. I say tell him, its best to get it off your chest anyways.

But like you said since he's not ready for a relationship, just be prepared for him to tell you that he only likes you as a friend.

Tell him either way, I've always said it's better to tell someone anyway. If it works, wonderful you have the man you desire, if not, you get closure and you can move on. Tell him.
