Is it normal to collect earwax?
I clean my ears to the point that they sometimes bleed. When it scabs over, I dig the scab out and save it in a dixie cup. I sometimes get 2 or 3 scabs a week from each ear. Is this normal?

it is normal to use q-tips to clean out your ears daily. however one q-tip for each ear is all that is necessary. quit picking it with your fingers and quit making them bleed. and for god sakes, throw out the stuff that comes out.
I always go for the IIN's with the really low percentages. And I was like, "Woah--5%?!!?"
Yeh. Not normal.
Stop it all together or else you'll permanently damage your hearing facilities.
Well, from personal expirience, I can say this is not good. I don't collect mine, but I'm pretty OCD about making sure my ears are clean. And I admit I'm rather interested in looking at what comes out. But I'm trying to stop cleaning my ears so often.
First because it's really gross, and I admit that.
Second, I keep cleaning with Qtips so I can scratch the skin because it itches, the reason it itches is because there's no wax left to lubricate the ear canal, which makes it dry out. this causes ear dandruff. ear dandruff is highly noticeable on Qtuips, big white flakes.
Third, scratching until it scabs is so not good! I've done it because I try to make it stop itching, but then the scab causes an ear infection. It's so icky and not good! It hurts really bad too.
I'm trying to stop, and I think you ought to stop too.
Besides, collecting it is actually really gross... never collected it
Everyone has weird habits, but I think this habit might be an unsanitary and an unsafe one.
