Is it normal to clean your nose with q-tips?

    red_star this is true. "clean" both ears with a q-tip and use it for your nostrils if at least one end remains relatively white and dry.

      Apparently cleaning your ears with a cotton swab isn't a good idea, and can lead to blocked ears because you end up pushing wax deeper into the canal. Search online or ask your doctor and most will recommend against using a cotton swab for your ears.

    ~I think using my own hand(pinky) digging my nose is ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww. DISGUSTING. and that is the reason why i use q-tips

    I've tried cleaning my nose with Q-tips for a while. They dried my nose out too much and I got nose-bleeds a lot.. So I wouldn't recommend it.

    normal? i guess so its quite sanitary.. but i honestly just use my finger. i am a huge fan of nose picking.

    I use them to clear my nose when I'm sick. It's so hard to breathe with your nose all clogged up :S (Yes, I can breathe through my mouth, but I prefer using my nose).

      You know, most of the time a blocked nose when you're sick isn't because there is mucus blocking it. It's more often because your sinuses are inflamed / swollen and are closing up the nasal passages. Sticking a cotton swab up there won't do anything that a tissue can't do, and it won't make any difference to your sinuses :D

    Sometimes ya gotta. I have 2 noserings and used to have my septum, so ya, once in a while its neccesary
