Is it normal to check up on the guy you lost your virginity to?

Alright, so I'm a little drunk right now and I did what i normally do when I'm wasted...troll the internet for my ex...

Actually, he isn't even my ex...he's a guy I had an on again/off again fling with three years ago. Anyway, up until 2009/10 I slept with this guy periodically, the first time being in 2008 when I lost my virginity.

It was nothing spectacular and it was something I go between regretting and lamenting. He was a musician and I still have some of the CDs he gave me (never actually listened) but that's about it. It was never anything real, although I convinced myself otherwise as he was my first. Now be forewarned I lost it at 18 and now I'm 21.

Anyway, periodically when I get drunk with friends I start reminiscing and naturally he pops into mind. I scour the internet (actually I just google him) and check up on him--his facebook actually. You know, see how his band is doing, etc. Anyway, tonight I discover his band has a song named after me. I have a fairly (actually, extremely) unique name so this is not just wishful thinking on my part. (For the purposes of this story let's call me 'Constance Rose').

Anyway, I was both flattered and depressed because he had another girl singing on the track and the lyrics talk a lot about loving someone who is very cold-hearted (something he frequently accused me of).

So, actually the question all boils down to is it normal to check up on (i.e., stalk) an ex, namely the guy you lost your V-card to?

It's normal. They were your first. You never forget your first. Also the get together back together thing that is the way they trap you with always wanting them.Reason they make you feel that way is because you truly didn't have them completely.Musician's is also the other reason.Been there.

It's both normal AND fun. Don't "stalk" him, that's psycho. In a few years, assuming everyone's single, try hooking up again. It's really fascinating how much more "skilled" people are several years down the road. If you have a good friendly relationship with him of course. I tried this with my high-school sweetheart about ten years later and it was SO much fun, mostly because we both kept commenting on how we "wish we knew how to do that back then" and "it's a lot more fun when you're not worried about parents catching you," etc.
