Is it normal to check the weather where my crush lives?

So I really like this guy and I have gotten into the habit of checking what the weather is like where he lives. At first it was just out of curiosity because I wanted to see if it was similar to where I live but now whenever I check the weather in my hometown, I check it in his too. Is this normal?
