Is it normal to check the bottom of the glass everytime i take a sip?

Everytime I have a drink, whether I make it myself or not, I have to check out the bottom of the glass each time I take a sip. I wanna make sure no bug or piece of crap dropped in it while it was sitting there, gross.

    Have no idea if it's normal but at least you know what your drinking at all times... Do you stare at your food to make sure nothing drops into that too?
