Is it normal to carry the label of a group i'm not a part of?

All of my friends smoke weed and I don't. But people still see me as and think I'm stoner. What sucks is that friends of friends ostracize me for not smoking marijuana and everyone else just assumes I'm a lying pothead. My demeanor is so laid back that they think I must be on something.
Also, I have a bad (slutty) reputation, even though I've actually never slept with anyone. Haven't even been on a date.
So, has anyone ever put you in a category that you just don't belong in? Have you ever been a part of a clique that you had nothing in common with? How normal is my situation?

    troubl with high school is, is that theres only a limited number of people so your choice of possible friends is limited. if it botehrs you about being thought of as a 'pothead' then just tell people you dont smoke it. 99% of people have no idea what theyre talking about when it comes to weed anyway so it does not matter what they think.
    And if people think of you as slutty, i know what you mean cuz an ex girlfirend of mine was seen in the same way although shed never done more than kissing. it often happens towards people whom the majority are jealous of in some way, because she was really pretty adn ehr family were reasonably wealthy. High schools just a bitch for that sorta thing. i was always seen as someone who loved fighting simply because i was always attacked and got shot before id finished school, so people thought i was some evil dickhead. but in reality i know im the complete opposite, and now im at uni and those dickheads are stuck inbreding the same town they were born in and will never grow up...
