Is it normal to care about these people?

I'm talking about people I'm used to seeing on this site on a regular basis. They go away and I feel this deep concern for their well being. For example: The gypsysailor. Is he still alive? And why should I care so much? CaptainTrips. Was here several times a day recently and now? Well he's gone, apparently. Ellenna. Always here several times a day for the past 6 months I've been on this site. Has anyone heard from Ellenna lately? I've never met these people and never will but is it normal to feel a sense of loss when they no longer appear on this site? Am I being silly or what?

    That's funny, yesterday I'm copping shit for allegedly being on here 24/7 and apparently now I've vanished. Yes you are being silly
