Is it normal to call, text, and/or hang with friend all day every day?

My boyfriend and I are in our late 20's/early 30's. We have been dating for 3 years now and have lived together for a little over two years. My boyfriend's current best friend ended his 7 year relationship about a year ago. Coincidentally, our relationship also started getting a little rocky about a year ago. It seems like the closer the two of them get, the rockier our relationship gets. It has gotten to the point now where the two of them are talking on the phone and texting each other ALL day, on top of hanging out about 4 days and/or nights a week (on average). Is this normal behavior? Am I just being paranoid? To me it seems a little obsessive, but perhaps I am just jealous. I want to be reasonable in my thoughts, but in my opinion they talk and hang out more than the average guy friends - considering one of them is in a serious, long-term relationship.

    Basically he lost a friend for 7 years and got him back. Chill out. If that was your best girl friend you'd be doing the same. Say something, don't be demanding though.

    I think it's normal, he probably misses having guy time. It's not anything to get jealous about. They'll get tired of eachother eventually and hangout less.

    unless it's a female best friend theres probably nothing to worry about. if you want more alone time just ask him.
