Is it normal to buy vitamins for your hubby?

So I've started seeing my ex again after a year. He's not my boyfriend, but my hubby and I still have strong feelings for each other and act faithfully as if we were in a relationship. He's the sweetest and silliest guy. However, he smokes quite a bit. He told me on my 18th birthday that I could get his cigarettes and what not. He has a very poor diet and hardly ever eats healthy. I really wanted to buy him vitamins (the very good kind) because I am concerned for his health and love him so much. Is that stepping into the mother territory or is that okay?

I think it's normal to care for and want to see your loved ones healthy. It's almost like buying them aspirin, cough drops, or picking up their prescription while you're at the grocery. When I still lived at home as a teenager with my parents, I would make my father's dinner plate when he was sick, and put a vitamin and his medicine on his tray. I also would put cough drops in my parents coat pockets when they were sick. What's wrong with that? I bought my fiance vitamins when I bought mine at Whole Foods. It's perfectly normal, at least I think so. You're very sweet to do it. You must be very nurturing.
