I'm a guy and I have a girlfriend, and my best friend has a boyfriend. Would it be okay if I got her a dildo/vibrator for her birthday? (She told me she has no sex toys and her other friends always say they're going to get her one, but never do)

Do you think it's appropriate for me to give one to her as a present? And is this type of gift normal coming from a best friend? We're extremely close and can tell each other everything.

    I wouldn't do that. It would be too weird seeing as you're both in a relationship. Also, imagine how awkward it would be for you, a guy, to go into a sex shop to buy a dildo. Sure, you can tell them it's for a girl, but you will receive looks.

    I don't think that would be okay. There are many other things you could buy her. And I'm pretty sure her bf would secretly want to kick your ass after something like that. Plus if she did use it, it'd be effing awkward knowing she got it from you lol If she got it from her boyfriend, it would probably be ok.

    I'm confused.

    You claim she doesn't have any, and that other friends promise her some but never deliver...

    Well why can't she go and get her own then? Why does someone else have to supply her with one?

    This really should be something she picks out for herself. NOT something for someone else to take responsibility for.
