Is it normal to buy a movie, but never watch it?

About a year ago, i bought the movie a haunting in conneticut. It seemed interesting at the time, and all my friends say its good, but i never got around to watching it. Is it normal to buy a movie and not watch it?

Ive done this, mostly with movies Ive seen before but I have a few Ive not yet watched.
I also tend to buy clothes I haven't yet worn and makeup I don't wear. Im kind of addicted to shopping.

I'm like this with books, I always end up buying way too many books than I have time to read. I watched that movie, it was average at best, some parts were just gross, bleugh

I have about ten or twenty DVDs that I've never got around to watching. Every time I decide to watch one, it's terrible. The last one I saw was "Brick". It gets really good ratings and is supposed to be a clever film noir, but it was just appalling. Luckily, it was so bad that I could actually laugh at how bad it was.

its a weird habit of mine, ill buy a movie, but i dont always watch it right away, it usually sits on my shelf for awhile before i decide to watch it. Videogames get played immediatly

^ District 9 is awesome, you should watch it :-) to the OP I'm guilty when it comes to this. I quite possibly have 20 or more movies I've bought or borrowed and haven't watched yet :-S

I saw that movie and really liked it.

I have had a DVD of district 9 on my shelf for months now. It's still in it's plastic.

Not sure, but I can tell you that I have about 30 movies recorded on my DVD player that I'm never in the mood to watch.

My friend gave me a movie as a birthday present like... two years ago. I still haven't watched it.

    • The movie you got doesn't happen to be called "Dragon Wars"? I could totally understand why you wouldn't have watched it if it was that movie. In fact, if you burned it and then bombed it, I would understand it even more.

OH MY GOD. Dragon Wars, don't remind me. If that was the movie, I would've used it as a Frisbee for my dogs a long time ago.

        • Haha, I bought that movie as a joke to a friend when it was new on dvd. We would see the shitty commercials for it and I just had to buy it for him. We watched maybe 5 mins of it and I've got no clue what he did with the movie. I think it would be a nice challenge to actually finish that lame excuse of a movie.

BEST. IDEA. EVER. I tried watching it and failed. Though, I have a friend who would probably actually enjoy it.
