Is it normal to burst out in laughter after crying?

So just a few hours ago, I started crying profusely due to personal issues. Though, I was told something which relieved a portion of my burdens. I didn't have a reaction right then and there outside of insecurity and doubt. Though, just hours later, I ended up with semi-uncontrollable laughter. It seemed to have relieved my mood even more, but it was weird. I'd assume I'd need more time to recover, but instead I laughed sooner than I expected.

I've never really given this thought, but most of my biggest cries involve intense laughter. I think it has to do with the acknowledgment of irony in a shitty situation--a kind of morbid humor. That's what it' like for me at least.

Emotions are weird, and crying and laughter are both similar sorts of releases. Sounds normal to me.

I hardly laugh after crying but I do get angry instead.

Sounds a little worrying, I'd talk to someone to be on the safe side. Hope all goes well for you.
