Is it normal to burn very easily?

I have pale skin, and I feel like no matter what SPF sunblock I use, I always end up with a sunburn. I would love to have a natural tan without using self tanning creams or tanning salons, and I don't know what to do!

I'm sure that's normal. People have different types of skin, if yours burns easily, it's normal. Don't get to worried.

Are you a redhead, by any chance? I've been told that redheads tend to be very sensitive to the sun and burn easily.

I used to be like that too! My skin would burn within like 15 mins! But I have conditioned my skin - moderately. I'd apply sun screen and go out in the sun for short periods of time. I have NEVER EVER gone tanning, and I never will! Don't plan on it anyway. But yeah, just be careful in the sun. And maybe your skin will eventually get a little more used to it. Good luck! :)

Coco Chanel sported the "healthy glow" as mentioned above. I'm pale and I love it. I could tan if I wanted to but I get compliments about my skin as is and I'd rather not ruin that. Love who you are!

Please don't tan! Tanning, even without burning, is a sign of damaged skin. It leads to early wrinkles, leathery skin and skin cancer. Please fight the "healthy glow" mentality in America. Only a century ago, pale was more beautiful.

If you lay out in the sun, try a half hour on each side every other day. Then over a week or so try to add 15 more minutes to each side. That's what I did. It worked out well. It took a while because at that time I was sooooo pale.
    Good luck to you.
Those self tanning creams are horrible. It rubbed off in teo days from where my flip flops were.
